Investor Liaison Internship Program

Our Internship Program provides unique opportunities for higher education low-to-moderate income students to learn about venture capital, develop real experience evaluating investment opportunities, and growing their network of investors and executives. Due to our generous donors, our Investor Liaison Internship Program has nearly doubled in Idaho since 2017.
Our interns get a first-hand look at what it takes to be an entrepreneur and resources available along the way. Interns also get exposure to many service providers and can be helpful in thinking about careers in varying fields.

“The Internship position was more helpful to me than my degree. VCO exposed me to the level of thinking common in the industry. The job made me realize that my knowledge and insights are applicable with high-level consulting.” Garrett Workman, Undergraduate, Westminister College, Utah

Internship Program

We ask interns to commit to at least 6 months (3 to 8 hours per week) and don’t disqualify applicants based on their underlying major. We invite all majors (science, math, business, performing arts, etc.) to apply and will provide training so you know how to execute in your role. Our interns are assigned into review teams and will evaluate startups that apply to our program. They interview company CEO’s as part of the vetting process, and ultimately make recommendations on program fit within our judging criteria. Interns also assist managing our mentor teams as we prepare our startup CEO’s for our pitch event. To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to resumes@venturecapital.org.
