How to Raise Money: PPP Forgiveness Requirements

PPP loan forgiveness questions? Received funds and now what? Learn how to get your PPP loan forgiven!

Venture Capital.org, VP TAX and NOW CFO have teamed up to educate and discuss with business owners and leaders how to utilize the forgiveness within the PPP SBA loan. Join us Thursday May 18th, 2020 at 10 am MST for an educational webinar. The information session should last 40-50 minutes followed by Q&A.

Many companies have worked with a SBA lender and have had their loan submitted, accepted or funded and wonder how to maximize the forgiveness of it. Learn the details of the loan forgiveness and get your questions answered too!

About our presenters:

Stephen Day – VP TAX: With 30 years’ experience as a tax executive, in both industry (Tax Director for both a public company and a significant operating partnership as well as Corporate Controller for a public high tech company) and consultancy (“Big 4” & beyond!), Stephen is accomplished in leading high-performing teams to achieve results. He has the rare ability to develop tax strategies, driven by the business landscape, and to operationalize those strategies through creative people, process, and technology solutions. Simply put, Stephen is passionate about getting important stuff done accurately and efficiently.

Fun Fact: When not serving his clients, Stephen can be found up the canyons of Utah on his motorcycle.

Chris Badger – NOW CFO: Chris is a hard driving senior accounting professional who brings a broad and diverse industry experience to the firm. He has extensive expertise in Financial Reporting, Due Diligence, Strategic Management along with experience in Human Resources, Health Insurance Benefits and Retirement Plans.

Chris has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1997, and has also done over 25 years of professional accounting work. His areas of expertise include financial reporting, financial operations, financial management, audit preparation, general management, benefits, due diligence and transaction prep, tax prep, and reporting for income taxes. Chris is very knowledgeable with ERP systems, and has implemented Oracle Upgrades and Great Plains.

When Chris isn’t working with clients, he spends his time playing with grand kids and attending concerts and plays with his wife.

Jim Herrin – Before joining ViroPan and MyGene International, two company I co-founded, in May 2007 as CFO, I served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development, as well as Treasurer and Corporate Secretary, of MacroMed, Inc., a specialty biopharmaceutical company. I worked at MacroMed for 12 years from its inception until the company was sold to Protherics PLC (LSE: PTSI). I have been extensively involved in raising equity and debt capital, totaling in excess of $40 million. I have significant experience in negotiating technology/product license agreements and other collaborative agreements, strategic planning, financial modeling, as well as daily finance, accounting and administrative functions. I was vital in the sale of MacroMed for $25 million in January 2007. Prior to joining MacroMed, I worked for the State of Utah Department of Economic Development for seven years managing Utah’s Korea and Taiwan trade and investment operations and the state’s Export Finance Assistance Program. I was also a founding director of Expression Genetics, Inc., a successful gene-delivery company now located in Huntsville, Alabama. Currently, I consult to several biomedical companies I assisted in founding, am responsible for their finance and administrative functions, as well as providing guidance to management. I received my Bachelors degree in Korean Studies from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah.
