“Nobody talks about entrepreneurship as survival, but that’s exactly what it is and what nurtures creative thinking. Running that first shop taught me business is not financial science; it’s about trading: buying and selling”
– Anita Roddick, founder The Body Shop

Entrepreneurship is really hard work and takes a combination of talent, capital, and networking to go from startup to sustainable company. As part of our mission, we assist diverse & underrepresented entrepreneurs (with a strong focus on women & people of color) to build sustainable companies and create the jobs of tomorrow. We do this in part by offering education seminars, pitch programs, and mentoring programs throughout the year that facilitates new relationships, investment, and ultimately jobs. Diversity is at the core of what we do, we know multi-gender and multi-racial management teams outperform single-gender and single-race teams. We keep this in mind as we evaluate startups to participate in our programs and the results speak for themselves.  Over the last 10 years, 70% of our companies raise capital within 12 months. Since 2009, participating companies have closed $1.6 billion that resulted in $10.8 billion in exit transactions.

Our donor base is what allows VentureCapital.Org to offer our programs at little or no cost to startups.  Our programs are not only highly effective but also very unique and reach underserved communities.  Contact us to learn how you can help us keep helping entrepreneurs realize their vision and create the future.
